Kingfisher is a complex neutral of muted blue and grey with hints of amber. This Signature Blend contains 50% 23 micron Merino wool, 25% Shetland wool, 12.5% Tussah Silk and 12.5% Ramie in a custom blended combed top designed by HipStrings and milled in the UK and is sold in 4 ounce quantities.
Ramie is a very smooth bast fiber - the low percentage means you do not have to adapt your spinning technique for it. In this blend, it is similar to spinning a Tussah Silk blend.
Show in the listing photo is a four ounce portion with a stockinette knit swatch.
Care: Hand wash in tepid water (we recommend Unicorn Fibre Wash), lay flat to dry. This fiber will felt!
