Base12 2026 Fiber SAL - Pre-Order

It's time for another Base12 Spinalong!  Join us this December 12th as we embark on another 12 days of spinning!

This year's inspiration is 12 things from the list Nik and I kept as a reminder of the little things that make life worth living.  Inspired by the play, Every Brilliant Thing, we started a list several years ago that was a place to go back to when life was good and also when life had its challenges.  We got to 99 before he passed away.

So this year I'm partnering up with Gab, our eldest kid.  Gab has made appearances before on the Base12 livestreams and they helped me decide on the 12 things from the list.  I can't promise that the 12 colors will be a cohesive color journey but they will be an inspiration to notice the little things and find joy in the everyday, which I feel is something we could all use right about now.

Each kit will include a total of 6 ounces of fiber - each day will feature 1/2 oz of fiber and over the course of the 12 days, there will be 4 hand dyed 80/20 Polwarth Tussah Silk (a new custom blend) combed tops, 4 HipStrings Signature Blend Combed Tops, and 4 hand carded batts (approx 75/25 Merino Silk, but may contain other fibers).  Expect a little hint of texture in your batts and Signature Blends, but not a lot.  If you have any fiber allergies, please note in your order comments.

Base12 kits also come with extras and an invitation to join us via YouTube livestream for the 12 days of the spinalong.  Kits will ship by November 15th.  Supplies are limited.  This year there are options to include a custom printed tote bag or drawstring bag or no bag.
