WQED, our local PBS station, was the home of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. The show had its beginning in a show called Children’s Corner that Fred Rogers developed for WQED in 1953. After a stint in Canada, Rogers brought Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood back to WQED and created the PBS show generations of kids know and love.
All of the iconic cardigans that Fred Rogers wore in the show were handknit by his own mother. Learn more about them in this video:
