Carrie Furnace Signature Blend (BFL/Black Welsh/Zwartbles/Shetland/Silk) Combed Top - 4 oz
The Carrie Blast Furnaces were part of the Homestead Steel Works and located along the Monongahela River in the town of Swissvale. They are now a National Historic Landmark, one of the few remnants of the sprawling Homestead Steel Works which belonged to Andrew Carnegie. They are the last remaining non-operative blast furnaces to remain standing in the Pittsburgh area. Nowadays they are a gorgeous example of urban decay, with art installations nestled into the ruins.
